Spend less time on paperwork. More time getting the job done.

Whether you're an electrician, plumber, groundworker, bricklayer, or another specialist trade, health and safety paperwork is a regular part of working on construction projects.

Ohutu helps subcontractors create Construction Phase Plans (where required), RAMS, and essential site documentation quickly, making it easier to meet client requirements and get on site without unnecessary delays.

Designed for the way subcontractors work

Because every client has different requirements.

As a subcontractor, you might be working for several different principal contractors over the course of a month. Each project can have different risks, documentation requests, and site procedures.

Copying old documents or editing outdated templates isn't just time-consuming - it also increases the chance of mistakes.

Ohutu gives you one place to create, update, and manage your paperwork, helping you stay organised across every project.

Be ready before you arrive on site

Many sites won't allow work to begin until the necessary health and safety documentation has been provided.

Under CDM 2015, subcontractors are treated as contractors. You must plan, manage and monitor the work under your control, coordinate with others on multi-contractor projects and follow the relevant parts of the Construction Phase Plan. You must also make sure workers receive a suitable site-specific induction unless the principal contractor has already provided one.

Depending on the project, you may need to prepare or provide:

  • Tick
Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Tick
    Accident and incident records

    Supporting health and safety documentation

If you are the only contractor on a project, you are responsible for preparing the Construction Phase Plan before work begins. If a principal contractor has been appointed, they are responsible for preparing and maintaining the plan.

Ohutu makes producing and managing these documents much quicker.

Keep your documentation up to date

Construction work rarely goes exactly to plan.

Access arrangements change, additional tasks are added, and working methods evolve as projects progress.

Rather than starting from scratch every time something changes, Ohutu lets you revise documentation quickly while keeping everything organised in one place.
